I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever!

summer magic

Summer Magic
This was one of Kristen's favorite movies.
Whenever we would pack up for a 3-4 week hospital stay
Kristen would pack this movie.
Each and every night we would watch this show together,
night after night after night.
The movie was simple and silly,
just like Kristen.

We are attempting to make our own summer magic.
I would have to say that we have been pretty darn successful.

We made yummy cakes for a wedding

These two have become "besties"

We celebrated a birthday for this little guy

A baseball game with my family

This little lovely had a birthday

This little lovely also had a birthday

We marked the 7th year of Kristen's passing

I bought flowers for Kristen and some for myself

7 years is a long time.
We miss Kristen every single second of of every single day.

"As a special witness of Jesus Christ, I testify that He lives! I also testify that the veil of death is very thin. I know by experiences too sacred to relate that those who have gone before are not strangers... To us and to you, our loved ones may be just as close as the next room—separated only by the doors of death."
~Russell M. Nelson

Keep the magic in summer.
Escape your routine.
Whatever you do,
make sure to sit in the porch and drink lemonade.
Enjoy the bliss.
Take in the long days and the warm evenings.
Make memories.
Think of others and do something kind.
