I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. I've contemplated on many occasions rather I should quit this blog or not. Each time I am inspired that I should not. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever! This I know. Our family continues to live and to love and this is our story...

31st birthday

We recently celebrated the princesses 31st birthday.

31 windmills

Roses for me

and of course CAKE!

We went to Build-a-Bear and made a super cute kitty for one of our special friends.

We gathered at the cemetery to enjoy the cake and the company

This is Kristen's best friend.
She is getting married in a few months and wanted to share her
wedding crystal with Kristen.

Grandma came and made us all laugh,
as she usually does.

While we were remembering our sweet girl at home,
Joyce and Sarah, some 1700 miles to the east were delivering
pillowcases to sick children in Cleveland in memory of Kristen.
They have made and delivered over 6800 pillowcases.
They are truly making a difference in the world.
It is better because of them.

Kristen's light continues to shine every single day.
She is missed
She is loved
She is remembered and thought of with every breath I take.
My little angel.

graduation

Kim graduated from college this past week.
I am over the moon proud of her!
She stayed up into the wee hours of the morning
finishing homework night after night.
All while taking care of the two little ones.
She graduated from Utah Valley University
with a Bachelors of Science in Emergency Services Administration.
She did it with a 4.0 to boot.
Yay Kim!

This a perfect quote for Kim.
She is currently an EMT-A and serves
as a volunteer with a local ambulance association.
She has already been honored for saving a man's life.
Kim is making a difference!
