I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever!

happy easter

Easter is definitely one of my favorite holidays.
It is a glorious time of the year.
The days are getting longer and warmer.
There is a feel of spring in the air.
The tulips are bursting.
Most of all...The empty tomb on that first Easter morning brings comforting
assurance that life is everlasting.
Because He died all shall live again.
This I know to be true.

As with every other holiday, our Easter is full of family fun and traditions.
Grandma has an egg hunt every single year for the old and the young alike.

I always color an egg for Kristen
We had a little egg hunt of our own.
Some of the kiddies in their Easter outfits...

My mom and dad always put quarters in the eggs for the children to find...
that tradition continues at my house.

Kristen loved to color eggs.
