I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever!

fairy garden

If you build it they will come!

Who doesn't need a few fairy sparkles in their life?
A little pixie dust?
Something magical on a warm summer evening?
A happy place?
We all could use a little every now and again.
Besides it's really good for the soul.

My fairy garden is a work in progress and its
always changing. I am constantly adding new touches.
My favorite part is in the evening when the solar
houses light up, or when the children arrive with something
new for our garden.

A family of gnomes joined our garden this year.

Make sure to notice the path of sea glass leading from
the fairy house to the gnome village.

The canopy of bleeding hearts have now made way for the
budding gladiolas that will soon shade the garden.

President Hinckley reminded us that
life is to be enoyed, not just endured.
I'm trying to live my life with more joy
and especially more gratitude.
Joy truly is found in the little things.

Find your happy place.
and share it.
