I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever!

some craftiness

Do you know what a feltie is?
I didn't think so.
I'll do my best to describe a feltie.
A feltie is a little something made out of felt.
There are many patterns such as cartoon characters and Christmas designs.
These little items are made, filled with candy, and then sold at
Last year over 20,000 were made and donated.
All of the money raised goes to Primary Children's Medical Center.
Last year I was on a committee and we made the angels.
This year I have my own committee and we are responsible to make 150 crowns.
My daughters and I have just completed 90 crowns and our
other committee members are working on theirs.
I just found out that a major hotel chain in Park City has ordered 1000 snowmen.
They are going to hang these on their guests rooms on Christmas Eve.
I volunteered to make at least 100 more snowmen.
I know, I think I'm crazy.
By the way, if you live in the area and would like to volunteer a few hours during the week
of the festival, we need help in the Small Fry shop selling felties and other children's items.
Let me know if you're interested.
It really is for a good cause and besides it's a BLAST!

If my hubby can watch the kiddos, I'd love to help out! When are the dates?
