I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. I've contemplated on many occasions rather I should quit this blog or not. Each time I am inspired that I should not. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever! This I know. Our family continues to live and to love and this is our story...

fun family fishing

The boys gave me a few hours notice as they told me that
I would be going fishing at 4pm.
I had a few reservations as it had been raining most of the day.
They assured me it would be fun and that the rain would stop in time.
They were partly right, I did have fun, but the rain continued.
We quickly found some firewood and got the fire started with wet wood.
After we had been there for about a half hour, the wind stopped, the rain stopped
and the blue sky began to appear.
It was a beautiful evening.
All of the kiddies caught their own fish, as well as most of the adults.
The fish were small so that we let them all go.
I called Ryan the fish whisperer as he was the one to send the
fish back into the water.
It was another one of those fabulous evenings where I was able to feel
sorrow, joy and peace all at the same time.

So beautiful. I wish my hubby was a little more outdoorsy. I have the best memories as a kid doing outings like these.
