Relay for Life

Relay For Life is a life-changing event that helps communities 

across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, 

remember loved ones lost, 

and fight back against the disease.

Our local relay will be held

July 20-21

at Murray Park.

July 20th happen to be the day Kristen went to heaven.

This will be her 2 year anniversary.

What a fabulous way to remember and honor Kristen.

There will be a survivors lap where survivors take to the track and celebrate.

Next there sill be a Luminaria Ceremony

where we will remember loved ones lost to the disease.  

Candles are lit inside bags filled with sand, 

each one bearing the name of a person touched by cancer, 

and participants  walk a lap in silence.

There will also be a "fight back" ceremony where participants

make a personal commitment to save lives by taking

action to fight cancer.

The walks begins at 6:30 pm on July 20th

it continues through the night until 10:00 am July 21st.

There needs to be at least one member from our team on the track at all times.

She is my motivation and my reason for continuing the fight against cancer.
