I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. I've contemplated on many occasions rather I should quit this blog or not. Each time I am inspired that I should not. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever! This I know. Our family continues to live and to love and this is our story...

"...that their light may always shine."

Worldwide Candle Lighting
Tonight at 7pm

The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting
unites family and friends around the globe
in lighting candles for one hour to honor
and remember children who have died
at any age from any cause.
As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time,
creating a virtual wave of light,
hundreds of thousands of persons
commemorate and honor
 the memory of children
in a way that transcends all ethnic,
cultural, religious, and political boundaries.

Please light a candle for Kristen
and for all our other friends who
have gone all too soon.

Absolutely!I will be lighting Kristen's candle tonight.

I can't tell you how often I have cried for you. But you have always thought of others and focused on others needs even when you are grieving. You are amazing and I only hope that I can be more like you. Remember you are always in my thoughts and prayers and Heaven seems so much sweeter knowing that one day I will get to meet your precious Kristen. Love you Polly!

Oh my gosh Polly. I am just seeing the previous post now. Matthew and his headstone, the wheel chair and the quote. Too much for my heart this morning. I have no words.

Sending love and ...

sending bears. Be on the look out!

Will be lighting a candle here in Logan too, for Kristen, for three nephews, for my great niece, and far too many others.
Thinking of you and missing you all today...
gone way to soon, for those of us left behind.
Much love,
Karen

The candle light is shining here - for Kristen, and for so many others.

I loved the headstone with the boy rising out of his wheelchair! And the Christmas Box Angel, too.

Cemeteries are my favorite and I would visit every day, too, if I could. I don't think it's weird that you do!
