You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July
It has been a week filled with birthdays, parades, food, fireworks, concerts and fun.
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July
It has been a week filled with birthdays, parades, food, fireworks, concerts and fun.
But most of all... FAMILY.
This blog has become my journal and my scrapbook, for that reason
I have lots of picture to share.
Our neighborhood had a parade followed by a breakfast this morning.
Our grand kids slept over and were able to ride their bikes in the parade.
This past Saturday we went to the "Stadium of Fire" in Provo.
The kids loved it.
We have spent a lot of time talking about the freedoms we enjoy.
Having Dave serving our country in the National Guard has reminded us
just what this holiday is all about.
The cemetery where Kristen is buried is not far from the City Hall.
On the Fourth of July the firework display is right across the street.
I was kinda joking when I said that I was going to go to the cemetery and watch the fireworks.
As it turned out, it was a really good idea.
We had a perfect view.
See the fireworks just above my dad and Kristen's flowers?
It was peaceful and a new tradition.

Beautiful family Polly!
And I think that is very a nice tradition to begin also.
Love, Amy
These were the greatest pictures. They were so...4th of July. Made my heart happy. We have been thinking about your son-in-law a lot; I told my children when he was deployed and we watched the clip from the news.
Kristen is on my mind all the time, too, and especially because of this month. I am sure that she never, ever, ever leaves your mind for a minute.
Thinking of all of you here, love,
Cathy in Missouri
Also - I wish they would bring back the tradition of decorating the bikes for 4th of July! I would LOVE to see a parade like that...in every city in America!
Beautiful pictures...I love that you found a new tradition to carry on!
