I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever!

It's official...Everything I own is for sale. Except of course my soul, give me a few days and maybe I'll be willing to let that go too.

Don't like the sound of this. What's up?
Please don't say you heard from the insurance.

My name is Sarah said...

Oh Polly, This is Joyce. I am afraid this means you have heard from insurance again. Please let us know what we can do. A protest at their headquarters? Phone calls, letter writing? Sarah Palin on a platform? I'm worried for you and Kristen.

Oh no. I don't like the sound of this either. If this is the insurance company pulling tricks. I think its high time someone higher up gets wind of this. Your story needs to be put out there. Put in everyone's living rooms. I've seen stories on news broadcasts that are just plain trivial in comparison to Kristen and her story.
We're praying for you.

Tears for you and your daughter and your son, who wants to save his sister. I agree about going to the media. And if that doesn't work then set up an account here. I will contribute what I can, no strings attached, no refunds allowed. I have no doubt that the beautiful hearts that visit your blog will do the same if they are able.

Ps - save your soul, you are going to need it for later.

Alrighty then... I'll echo everyone else and their sentiments...thinking insurance and their review of Kristen's case, is at the root of this post and .. I'm ticked already. So rally the troops... we will ban together and do what needs to be done.

Zoey's hospital,Children's Hospital of Los Angeles,is mandated by their byways to treat everyone that passes through their doors, regardless of ability to pay...you know I know my way around that oncology floor so say the word and I will seriously call her oncologist and get his opinion..he also is an expert on children with Down syndrome and leukemia. Our buddy Christopher is heading to transplant in a month.Thought I would throw that out there. You know,no stone left unturned.

Till then, praying like crazy for a resolution... quickly.

I am so sorry...you may already have looked around for more info but I went to the NBMT Link ...(If your insurer refuses to cover expenses, be persistent and consider speaking with legal counsel or someone with expertise in the insurance field..) I found this and other info...I know you will keep trying, please let us know if there is anything we can do...

Who is your insurance? This is crazy! I'll call and email whoever I need to too. I know Primary's is a nonprofit, treat everyone hospital, so why are they doing this? they should treat her not based on ability to pay!

I've been following your blog for a while now, but have never commented. I really want to let you know that I am thinking of your family right now and pray that things will work out. Know that you have such an enormous support system out here in blogland. You let us know what we need to do to help.

With lots of love,

Amanda

I'm really confused. What do you mean by this post?
Actually, I'm a little scared by it to. I don't know what you are thinking. Is everyone guessing what's going on?
There is a solution to every problem.
Let us put our heads together and we can solve it.
If you need money, go to your bank to set up a gift account, let everyone know where to send the checks and people will give to help. That really works, I have seen God working through His people in my case. Our family could not have paid for all of costs last year if it weren't for that.
I really want to encourage you to keep fighting.

I can't find your email so just a quick note...Carver (my 3 and half yr old) says to me this morning...completely out of the blue mind you..."I think Kristen Kirton is feeling better" as he twirls the braclets in his tiny hands..and "I think I will send her another card..." Love and hugs to you..

I found your blog because Lily posted about her visit. I am so glad she did. My heart breaks reading this blog and I am sure it will only get worse as I read more. I will pray for you and your daughter daily. May God provide all she needs to fight this cancer.
