I created this blog when my sweet little girl, Kristen, was diagnosed with cancer, for the third time. After fighting for almost 3 years Kristen was called home to that same God who gave her life. One of my favorite quotes comes from Neal A. Maxwell- "Those who "plow in hope" not only understand the law of the harvest but they also understand what growing seasons are all about. True, those with genuine hope may see their proximate circumstances shaken like a kaleidoscope at times, yet with the "Eye of faith" they still see divine design." Kristen blessed lives and continues to do so. Her light continues to shine. As for me, I continue to "plow in hope" knowing well that Kristen is mine for eternity. Families can be together forever!

Happy 4th of July

Kristen woke up not feeling well today. Hopefully that will change. We decided to have a BBQ and water party later today with the fam. It seems everyone has their own plans for fireworks tonight and since Kristen has never been a fan of them she and I will be staying home. Kamie and Kim are going with their boyfriends to 'Stadium of Fire' in Provo. The Jonas Brothers are singing there. Kristen is actually a fan of theirs but because there are so many fireworks in the stadium I decided she would freak out so I didn't get her a ticket. It seems several towns around here are having celebrations so if you get a view of the valley you can see fireworks going off in all directions. A couple of days ago the grandkids made a pinata. They had a little party here. Kristen was being a bit stubborn (who would guess?) and wouldn't go outside so they brought the pinata in for her to take a few hits at it.

Happy 4th to Everyone!

Cute pinata. I think if we sit on our lawn, we can probably see just about the whole valley's fireworks. We might just do that then fight crowds.

Your "stubborn" comments crack me up. I understand it well. It seems that Kristen and Amanda's dad's have the same birthday. Small world.

Thank you so much for your comments. We are still so new to leukemia and need all the advise and support we can get. We are trying to do things right for Amanda and are learning a lot through you and your blog. You are welcome to email me if it's easier.

Also, you asked about Amanda's interests. She loves animals and art. Littlest pet shops are very popular

How sweet of the grandkids to bring the pinata inside!
